The cost of running SAP BTP services or hosting applications can vary significantly based on multiple factors, including the service plan, consumption model, usage volume, deployment landscape, scalability requirements, integration needs, and regional pricing considerations. SAP Discovery Center is a key avenue for architects, developers, and business stakeholders to explore and make informed decisions, plan budgets effectively, and assess the potential ROI of their SAP BTP-related projects.   SAP Discovery Center enables customers, partners, and developers to explore, evaluate, and accelerate the adoption of SAP BTP services. As shown in the figure below, it acts as a central hub for discovering SAP BTP services, SAP Business AI-related offerings, step-by-step implementation guides in the form of SAP BTP missions, adoption frameworks, and [SAP Business Data Cloud](https://blog.sap-press.com/what-is-sap-business-data-cloud) services.   *![SAP Discovery Center](https://blog.sap-press.com/hs-fs/hubfs/02_013-png.png?width=1370&height=812&name=02_013-png.png)*   The SAP BTP Services section, as shown in this figure, lets you navigate through the latest SaaS capabilities that SAP BTP offers.   *![SAP Discovery Center: SAP BTP Services](https://blog.sap-press.com/hs-fs/hubfs/02_014-png.png?width=1320&height=987&name=02_014-png.png)*   As shown in the next figure, you can add any service to your service estimator followed by selection of the service plan, t-shirt size, number of users, capacity units, and more, all depending on the type of service that you picked.   *![SAP BTP Service Estimator](https://blog.sap-press.com/hs-fs/hubfs/02_015-png.png?width=951&height=1035&name=02_015-png.png)*   Below shows a snapshot of an [SAP HANA Cloud](https://blog.sap-press.com/when-to-use-sap-hana-cloud-for-data-storage)-related estimation where the cost of the service is determined based on the capacity unit.   *![Service Estimator for SAP HANA Cloud](https://blog.sap-press.com/hs-fs/hubfs/02_016-png.png?width=867&height=572&name=02_016-png.png)*   This figure shows a quick snapshot of the Capacity Unit Estimator for SAP HANA Cloud where you can calculate the cost based on data size categories of Large, Medium, and Small.   ![Capacity Unit Estimator](https://blog.sap-press.com/hs-fs/hubfs/02_017-png-1.png?width=1219&height=637&name=02_017-png-1.png)   The prepared estimation can be saved as a PDF or CSV file and then shared with peer members through email.   Editor’s note: This post has been adapted from a section of the book [*Application Development with SAP Business Technology Platform*](https://www.sap-press.com/application-development-with-sap-business-technology-platform_6322/?utm_source=sappressblog&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=Blogs&utm_term=2855_chapter2&utm_content=2855) by [Govind Bajaj](http://www.linkedin.com/in/govind-bajaj-a5a7589.), [Arup Bhattacharya](https://www.linkedin.com/in/arup-bhattacharya-22000442/), [Laboni Bhowmik](https://www.linkedin.com/in/laboni-bhowmik-4a14387/), [Avijit Dhar](https://www.linkedin.com/in/avijit-dhar-8444859/), [Anup Ghosh](http://www.linkedin.com/in/anupkghosh), [Gairik Acharya](https://www.linkedin.com/in/gairik-acharya/), and [Asidhara Lahiri](http://linkedin.com/in/asidharalahiri).
