How to Estimate the Cost of an SAP BTP Project

All enterprise application development incurs costs, and SAP projects are no exception.

To build an application on SAP BTP, you need to identify not only the building blocks but also the associated costs, which are among the most critical factors in determining return on investment (ROI). The cost of running SAP BTP services or hosting applications can vary significantly based on multiple factors, including the service plan, consumption model, usage volume, deployment landscape, scalability requirements, integration needs, and regional pricing considerations. SAP Discovery Center is a key avenue for architects, developers, and business stakeholders to explore and make informed decisions, plan budgets effectively, and assess the potential ROI of their SAP BTP-related projects.

SAP Discovery Center enables customers, partners, and developers to explore, evaluate, and accelerate the adoption of SAP BTP services. As shown in the figure below, it acts as a central hub for discovering SAP BTP services, SAP Business AI-related offerings, step-by-step implementation guides in the form of SAP BTP missions, adoption frameworks, and SAP Business Data Cloud services.

As shown in the next figure, you can add any service to your service estimator followed by selection of the service plan, t-shirt size, number of users, capacity units, and more, all depending on the type of service that you picked.
