SAP S/4HANA is the biggest change for SAP in nearly 30 years. The whole data model has changed, especially in the area of finance.
New tables and obsolete tables exist, and many transaction codes are obsolete either because they were moved to SAP Fiori apps or because of changes in finance functionality.
Because most SAP users have experience with the older SAP releases, in this blog post, we’ll list obsolete and new transaction codes and tables in SAP S/4HANA compared to previous releases.
Obsolete and New Financial Transaction Codes
Obsolete Tables and Compatibility Views
The data model in SAP S/4HANA has changed significantly, and the index and totals tables are obsolete. These tables have been replaced by compatibility views to make sure that older custom programs will continue to work. Technically, these tables are called core data services (CDS) views. This table lists obsolete finance tables and their corresponding compatibility and data definition language (DDL) sources.
