In this blog post, learn about our upcoming Rheinwerk Course entitled SAP Analytics Cloud from the course instructor, Shakthi Ramalaxmi.
Shakthi has more than nine years of experience as an SAP analytics professional working with SAP BW and SAP Analytics Cloud. She has successfully led numerous end-to-end implementations across various domains, including BI and planning. In addition to her consulting work, she is a huge advocate of training and knowledge sharing to help both individuals and organizations maximize the benefits of their SAP analytics journey.
Check out her video introduction below and read on to learn from her what this series will teach you!
1 What Topic Does This Series Cover?
This course is a comprehensive introduction to SAP Analytics Cloud, covering its three main pillars: business intelligence, planning, and predictive analytics. Over five days, participants will walk through the full analytics process, starting with data connectivity and modelling, and then moving on to building engaging dashboards, creating collaborative planning workflows, and finally applying predictive scenarios. Each session combines theory with hands-on practice, so learners see exactly how SAC can be applied to real business challenges.
2 Will This Series Give Me Technical Skills or Foundational Knowledge (or Both)?
Both. The training is designed to build a strong foundation of concepts while also providing practical, technical skills. You’ll understand SAC’s architecture, strategy, and role in the analytics ecosystem, while also gaining the ability to connect data sources, design stories, and configure planning and predictive features. By the end of the course, you’ll be equipped not only with the “what” and “why” but also with the “how” to implement SAC in real projects.
3 What Will I Specifically Learn in This Series?
You’ll learn the following:
- Create and manage models for BI and planning.
- Transform, enrich, and publish data for use across dashboards.
- Design interactive stories with charts, maps, and collaboration tools.
- Configure planning features, including version management, allocations, value driver trees, and workflows.
- Apply predictive scenarios such as classification, regression, and time series forecasting.
The course is structured so each day builds on the previous one, giving you a clear, end-to-end perspective of SAC’s capabilities.
4 What Should I Already Know Before Taking This Series?
A background in business processes such as finance, sales, or operations is helpful, as is familiarity with concepts like measures, dimensions, and KPIs. Some exposure to SAP systems or BI tools can be an advantage, but it’s not required.
The course is accessible to beginners as long as they bring curiosity and a willingness to learn.
5 What Are Your Qualifications to Teach This Series?
I have over nine years of experience working in SAP Business Intelligence and Analytics, with a focus on SAP BW and SAP Analytics Cloud. I’ve delivered implementations and presales projects across industries such as FMCG, manufacturing, and retail. In addition to project experience, I regularly conduct SAC trainings for professionals. This has given me a deep understanding of the common challenges learners face and how to simplify concepts in a way that is practical, clear, and directly applicable.
